About the Journal
The International Journal on BRICS Statistics (IJBS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to applied, methodological, and policy-relevant contributions in the field of official statistics, focused on, for, and in relation to BRICS countries and their statistical systems.
The Journal is an initiative led by the representatives of the National Statistical Offices (NSOs) of BRICS countries, building on a collaborative process of discussions on the creation of a shared platform for statistical knowledge exchange. It aims to foster collaboration among NSOs, academia, and international organizations, promoting the exchange of experiences, innovations, and best practices.
Submissions from researchers worldwide are welcome, provided they demonstrate clear and substantive relevance to BRICS contexts. IJBS emphasizes practical and context-sensitive approaches, supporting the development and modernization of official statistics in emerging and developing economies.
